Why should you enter the Sustainable 60 awards?
We have asked some previous winners what entering and winning meant to them.

“It was a great honour to be chosen as a winner in the Sustainable 60 awards and to receive recognition for our efforts to become a truly sustainable business in the highly competitive print industry. Entering the awards gave us the opportunity to reflect on our sustainable journey and the benefits (environmental, social and financial) that it brings. The judges’ feedback was useful in identifying areas where we can do more. The awards have raised our profile amongst other like-minded businesses and helped us secure new work as well as fostering staff pride which helps us attract and retain valued staff”

- Jenny Carter, Finance Director, Soar Printing

“Winning our Sustainable 60 award gave us more recognition than winning our international sustainability award”

- Martin Fryer, Sustainability Manager, Auckland Airport

“We entered the Sustainable 60 awards and were extremely happy to be finalists in the Small Business and Marketplace categories. Entering the awards for us was a win – win regardless as it gave us the opportunity to take a look at the business from an objective view and a reason to spend time ‘on’ the business rather than ‘in’ it. It was great to meet some of the winners, forge relationships and create learnings that ultimately will lead to a sustainable, passive and profitable enterprise”.

- Nick Siu, Sachie’s Kitchen

“This is the first year we have made the final cut, so to win awards was so good. It would be hard to put a price on the marketing value of what we received”.

“The cool thing is for La Nuova is that what we presented, and subsequently what has been released reflects our culture and our vibe. This sets such a great benchmark for our team and we have some exciting projects on the go as we speak.”

“By telling the story we have managed to measure just how much we have achieved, so the Sustainable 60 awards are a great platform to do this. For a SME it was a lot of work, however stoked that we did it for both the business and of course our team”.

- Bevan Broughton, Sustainability Manager, La Nuova Apparelmaster
