Strategy and governance

Elements that may be included in this category range from the type of (sustainable) business model your organisation employs, the leadership position you take on the subject, how your reputation is built on sustainability, how you plan for the future (maybe through the use of scenarios or other tools), whether innovation is integrated into your business culture, the breadth of your risk management function (and the ability for it to also recognise opportunities) and/or what your overall strategy is and to what degree sustainable business practices are inherent in that or part of it. This category addresses the big picture of sustainable business practices and tries to identify the value drivers and the success stories of companies that have used sustainability, or elements of it, to position themselves in their marketplace.
